- Admission
At SHUMEI KOBE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, we welcome students from all over the world — whether you’re applying for a student visa or already hold a valid visa in Japan.
We offer flexible enrollment, meaning you can start at any time during the year. Every new student takes a placement test before starting, so we can place you in the most suitable class for your current Japanese level.

Comprehensive Japanese Program
At SHUMEI KOBE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, we offer flexible enrollment — students can begin their studies at any time throughout the year, not just on fixed dates. This allows you to start learning Japanese when it works best for your schedule.
Placement Test
All new students are required to take a Japanese language placement test before starting. This ensures that each student is placed in the most suitable class based on their current language skills and learning goals.
Recommended Study Duration
While students may choose the course length that suits them, we highly recommend enrolling for at least one year. A full year of study provides the best opportunity to build a strong foundation in Japanese, experience real-life language use, and make steady progress toward higher-level proficiency
